5. Straw Hat Toker

Joe please tell Tony Hawk to make a movie from his video game Tony Hawks Underground. It's one of the best stories and it would be nice to see that come to life for tv compared to most things that are filmed nowadays. 🙏 Please tell him

Tony Hawk is a Global icon He was doing tech tricks on vert in the 80’s That are still heavy to this Day!. Street Skateboarding is like a fight against concrete and metal Every time u skate.! The biggest hits I’ve ever taken Were dished out by concrete Not in actual fights,, I’d take a punch to the face over getting smashed on a 13 stair hand rail Any Day!!. Respect The Hawk Sheer Master .!!!🔥💯👍

    11. Benjamin Moren

I remember shooting our skate video on an old camcorder before the interent and smartphones, shit before cellphones. We only saw skaters in real life or in videos you had to buy and then go home and watch. Literally making it up as we went 😂, these kids will never know struggle 😂

Need to get Rob Dyrdek on

    22. Travis Zander

Was at La Jolla Shores for Memorial day and you couldn't set up with like towels and chairs. You could go play in the water but if you're on the beach, they wanted people moving around, walking or whatever. Had an area designated for surfing that people couldn't just hang out in the water. Parking lot was closed. Had to park on the streets. So bizarre.

      1. Joanna

This is a man I can't look at without hearing Superman

    23. Ben Sides

Just me who thinks he sounds like Steve-O?

    27. evan rafflee

This really makes me want to see Rodney Mullen on the JRE. The godfather of street skating and an all around nice guy.

    31. Howdy Y'all

Joe is always asking the right questions

    32. Trevor Davis

When I was a kid i got to see an event. After that i bugged my parents for a board. We built a halfpipe in my buddy's backyard. It lasted 2 weeks. when his older brother broke his leg flying out of the ramp, dad tore it down.

    33. Danny Martin

Where does Joe get all those great Print T-Shirts?

    34. Wroubel

Need to get Rob Dyrdek on

    38. EazyEColi

Anything that is a supplement developed by Bill Romanowski, I am not interested in it. The former FB player who is infamous for substance abuse and finding ways to play dirty. No way I am trusting anything from B. Romanowski.

    39. Boss Sayur

      Tony hawk pro skater... 🎶🎼

    40. Bobby Shwag

Rad Joe good guest get another skater on here

    41. pdxeddie1111

the fringe element doesn't like fringe hmmm go figure In the movie dogtown, it bugged me that the character Jay Adams basically shined on that slinky commercial because that would have changed his mother's and his lives for the better but he thought it was uncool and kind of sell outish. I mean if that did happen I bet he still or was (as he's dead now I think) kicking himself for not taking the money and looking stupid for a day cause ten k back then was a lot of money. You could buy three new cars with that. Ya man if you get good opportunities to improve your life definitely consider it. I bet if he had asked any of those dudes he hung with about it they would've ya take the friggin money buy a house so your mom aint working crappy jobs as much. I mean the money would have changed their lives and he was just being a selfish typical kid and that bugs me when kids do that, I mean does that bother anyone else when kids do that, I mean make stupid decisions that reflect on them the rest of their lives? Because that one decision played the biggest factor to Jay going down hill and not in a good way. Thanks Joe for doing this interview

    47. ryry50001

He needs to have Rodney mullen on the podcast so he can explain where tech Street skating came from

    48. S T

Joe seems to know about a lot of things, skateboarding is not one of them

    49. Ryan Haines

Awesome podcast, Tony Hawk and Joe Rogan two of the biggest names in their fields.

    50. Kevin o'doherty

Tony didn't want to mention names but...Duane Peters and Tas Papas come to mind in both references...

    51. SilverBackShredder

He needs to have Danny way on the pod cast to talk about the great wall, mega ramp, and his cross training and general stories.

    52. Devon Faulks

      Get rob dyrdek on

    53. Jordan Gallo

    56. keef scott

Joe Rogan interviewing Tony Hawk about skateboarding is like Steven A Smith trying to interview Joe Rogan about MMA 😂😂

    57. Miguel Castillo

And even if you don't make a living off of doing what you love it doesn't mean that you have to stop doing it. Figure it out and have fun.

    58. VisioPhobia

Me getting excited every time Tony mentions the ‘Video Games’ for an awesome chat about THPS - Joe quickly dismisses it and moved on clearly unaware of the generation-defining phenomenon those games and soundtracks were.

    59. tabaconumacapadoSaramago

      Jorge Jesus, is that you?

    60. Damon Peirce

Would love Joe to get Pharrell Williams on the Podcast.

    64. donatas varnas

When he was talking about pro at 14 he got bit confused what pro is :D in the next sentence he said no one offered him contracts nor he had. the only thing that tick box meant if he had sponsors.

It might look like San Diego is healthy, doing good and home of Top Gun and the seals and all that bullshit, etc.,but that is just a tiny part, while at the border and in TJ there are much worse effects happening, this will spread unstopped to San Diego and LA because so many people from Baja cross and work every single day

    76. Ctyler93

51:28 haha no man it’s from all the g forces cornering a race car lol

    77. Ctyler93

Travis Pastrana on JRE anyone?? ☝️

    78. Steve Snider

Not a particular fan of skateboarding but I really enjoyed this interview. Tony definitely has an interesting life story. And when they were reminiscing about the 80s and 90s I had some correlating memories of my own. I had some friends that were really good at skateboarding but I never took to it. Dirt bikes became my thing and man do I ever have a lot of great memories dirt biking in the 90s!

    79. Misfit Drummer

please invite Travis Pastrana on :) he and Joe could just talk injuries alone haha

    80. Lost Dutchman Leather
